Isn't it ironic that you need credit in order to establish a credit history but if you actually use too much of said credit, it counts against you. Such a fickle game. Bless your journey!
Credit algorithms differ depending on which credit score checking entity you go through. The free credit score checking apps are often incorrect by a large margin.

Something I get my first credit card sometime this summer maybe I'll see what they will do for me

I agree that we need to pay our credit card balances in full every month. I usually pay half when I receive the statement. The other half I pay 3-4 days before the due date.

pay bills on time
Just got a secure credit card and I set up automatic payment for a couple of my bills that I pay off on the due date. Three months in and my score went up two points. I’m thinking about getting a second card and doing the same with some other bills. I figured since I pay them anyway I may as well use the cards to help build my credit. I decided to use money from my stimulus check to make the deposit on the secured card.
