My entire bank account was just ROBBED and now I'm trying to start over.. I need to open a savings account but I don't know if I should go local or what?! Any help is appreciated!!

Personally I'd go local if you can get an appointment.

It's easier to talk to a person live who may be able to advise you.

How was your bank account robbed? (Generally, no specific details requested)

I suggest to go with Chase from personal experience. They will protect you against fraudulent activity that is out of your control.

Bank of America is really secure. Also, definitely check with your bank and the police. Most banks are insured, so when fraudulent activities occur, if you file a police report, they are required to reimburse your lost funds.

You should be able to get your money back. Banks are nice which I worked at for 10 years but learning more credit unions are better. Hope that helps.

Credit Unions are the best. My opinion atleast.
