My car got stolen last year and I can't seem to get a job in town. So now I'm out of work and about to have too give my emotional support animals up because I can't even come up with the money to feed them anymore
Jessica L,
There are ways of earning money online. Check out https://www.prolific.com and also check out the subreddit at https://www.reddit.com/r/prolificac
Prolific is a survey platform, but they're not your average surveys. They are mostly from academics (universities) from all over the world. They pay in either Great British Pounds or US Dollars, depending on the researcher who posts the survey. PayPal is required for cashing out, and they'll convert GBP to USD when you transfer the funds to your bank account. There's a waiting list though, and once you're off it you'll need to verify your ID through a 3rd party called Onfido. Once you're verified and have your PayPal connected, depending on your demographics, the device(s) you use (a PC is recommended) and the time you commit you could earn anywhere from $50-$400/month, perhaps more. There is no mandatory minimum – you are under no obligation to do surveys, so you can skip days. You can also cancel out of a survey with no repercussions. As an example, I have 3,616 approved surveys, 858 that I've canceled out of, and I've earned about $5020 since late 2019.
Also, look for dscout on your app store. dscout is a platform for interviews on a variety of topics. To get an interview you have to apply to what they call "missions." When you apply to a mission most will require a video selfie, which is basically a "job interview" where you explain why you'd be a good fit for the topic of the mission. Missions pay anywhere from around $20 to hundreds of dollars. PayPal is required too.
And then there's https://www.respondent.io which is another one-on-one interview platform, and another reason to have a PC with a webcam – I don't know if a mobile device can be used for the interviews there. Similar to dscout you apply to the interviews (minus the video selfie), but you only get 3 per day so choose wisely. They also pay fairly well, similar to dscout, though they keep a small cut (I think 10%) that goes toward Respondent's upkeep. PayPal is required here too.
Also, check out https://www.reddit.com/r/beermoney and especially look at the posts that start with "Who paid you for…" to get ideas of other sites/apps people are using to earn money. The key is not to place all your eggs in one basket, and to find what works for you.
I hope something here helps you. Good luck.
